Who Deliver Collaborative Programs and Services Designed to Ensure that Children Can Achieve Their Greatest Potential.
The Capital Area Family Justice Center provides support to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, and human trafficking in the Baton Rouge area. They partner with other agencies as well to provide services to these victims such as: Southeast Legal Services, the EBR-DA's Domestic Violence Division, EBR Sheriff’s Office, BR PD, Louisiana DCFS, and IRIS- Domestic Violence Center/Emergency Shelter.
Supports the needs of victims of crime in East Baton Rouge Parish and ensures they are made aware of their rights as a crime victim as stated in the Louisiana State Constitution. The division offers direct services are offered to victims of crimes through Crime Victims’ Reparations. This program provides financial compensation to innocent victims of certain crimes.assists victims of crimes with monetary assistance for burial expenses, relocation, lost wages.
D.A.R.E. is designed to give young people the facts about drugs and alcohol and to "inoculate" them against negative peer pressure by teaching them self-management and resistance skills. The Sheriff's Office provides 4 uniformed Deputies, who are assigned up to 7 schools per semester, and visit each assigned school at least 1 day a week for 12 weeks to present an innovative curriculum that emphasizes self-esteem, taking responsibility for one's own behavior, and saying "no" to drug experimentation.
With a mission to monitor and eradicate crimes such as drugs, weapons and assault in the school systems within East Baton Rouge Parish, the School Drug Task Force is designated as the primary response/investigation law enforcement agency in handling cases involving controlled dangerous substances, firearms, and assaults on school grounds. school busses and school related functions.
Deputy Stephanie Hicks was assigned to work at the Family and Youth Service Center from its beginning, starting out as the Executive Assistant to Roxson. Stephanie has become the resident expert of finding children and doing everything possible to ensure that they are seen, heard, and their problems addressed. Her dedication to children is admired and greatly appreciated by all who come in contact with her, earning her recognition from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff through the "Above and Beyond Award" as well as the "Humanitarian Award " from the Louisiana State Chapter of the NAACP. Stephanie sees the worst in the world but believes in the best. Stephanie relies on her faith and when things are difficult, as they often are, she quotes Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His Purpose."
FOAM aims to empower fathers and strengthen families by providing resources, training, and support. Through these programs, fathers will learn the skills and techniques necessary to succeed effectively as caretakers and providers. By participating in FOAM programs, fathers will also have the opportunity to connect with other fathers and professionals in the field and to receive support and encouragement as they navigate the challenges of parenthood.
LIFE 101 is a new series of classes offered by the Family & Youth Service Center of Eastern Baton Rouge in Building B. The classes are dedicated to providing Baton Rouge residents with the skills they need to achieve success, including everything from financial literacy to essential skills like sewing and mending.
LORI assists individuals and families that need help navigation the immigration process and provide resources to help them integrate in a new country. LORI is dedicated to helping refugees and immigrants achieve self-sufficiency by providing them access to critical services and support.

Project Impact: Child Survivors of Violent Crime, provides resources needed by children to overcome the trauma and time lost when they are victims of violent crime. Resources include trauma informed care, counseling, assistance with basic needs, child centered tutoring, child and family advocacy, IEP support, and FYSC campus partner resource referrals.
Truancy Assessment and Service Center provides prompt delivery of coordinated interventions to truant children in grades K-5 and their families in order to prevent continued absences from school and is based on OJJDP Best Practice Principles. With 11 sites serving 18 parishes, TASC currently serves more than 300 Louisiana public schools and has received referrals for more than 200,000 at-risk students.
TRAVAIL is focused on providing The highest quality assistance to those in need in our community including a monthly food pantry, assistance with employment, and programs designed to prevent homelessness, gain life skills, and become productive productive. Some needs may be small (bed, sofa, table, towels or toothpaste). Some needs may be larger (shelter, food, job)- TRAVAIL will assist with any need that we through Jesus can meet..
A program of the East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office, the TRUCE project is dedicated to reducing gang violence in our community by empowering youth to live safe and productive lives. Truce is designed to reduce crime committed by juveniles through the strengthening of police-community relationships, promoting school engagement and connecting families to community resources.
Unbound Now supports survivors and resources communities to fight human trafficking in the United States and around the world.
We envision a future where every community is free from human trafficking and believe through collaboration with partners from every sector this is possible.

Missing Persons Division of the Baton Rouge Police Department is tasked to locate the missing and reported missing persons in the Baton Rouge area. The Baton Rouge Police Department works with FYSC through investigation and location of missing and runaway youth.

Front Yard Bikes is a community bike shop that focuses on teaching participants of all ages how to fix and maintain bikes. We teach and develop skills in mathematics, physics and mechanics, while promoting inclusivity, mentorship, recreation and academic achievement. We offer youth in the community a safe, free after-school program.

EBRDA Youth Outreach actively works with FYSC to manage and implement strategies to address the needs of students by participating in case management and crisis management. The District Attorney's Outreach implements various programs including truancy prevention, substance abuse, and truancy enforcement for juveniles.
